Many of our patients are referred by their doctors, but you do not need a referral to call our office to schedule an appointment. We have many patients referred by previous patients who have been pleased with their care received in our office.
Your initial appointment will consist of a diagnostic examination and discussion of treatment options. We will review your reason for attendance to ensure your goals are met. The surgery which you will undergo will be reviewed with you in advance of the surgery date. The nature of the procedure and the length of time expected for the procedure including recovery in the office, will also be discussed. An estimate of fees will be given at that time and our staff will discuss your insurance coverage with you.
Occasionally, surgery can be done the same day as the consultation in cases of emergency or when a healthy patient prefers not to schedule two appointments for a simpler procedure. More frequently, the surgery is performed at a second visit to allow proper preparation by the patient and for insurance/financial determinations. Further, a complex medical history or treatment plan will require an evaluation and a second appointment to provide treatment on another day.
